Woke up today and caught Wayne the Elf up to his antics again. Not so sure everyone else in the family will find this so funny when they get up and have to use the restroom!

Wayne the Elf - Dec. 4
I told Marcy that since we have an Elf in the house now, we need to make sure the Syrup is up higher on the shelves in the pantry. Sorry Mrs. Struve, not sure what this means for school today...

Wayne the Elf - Dec. 3
It’s the third of December, and all through the home,
we’re getting ready for school, teeth brushed & hair combed.
When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter,
I ran down the stairs to see what was the matter.

Wayne the Elf - Dec. 1
Our kids have never believed in Santa and as a result, most things around the Santa character we've just kind of passed by, including the fun we've seen families having with the Elf on the Shelf. From what I understand, the idea is that the Elf on the Shelf represents a "scout elf" that Santa sends out to help ensure the accuracy of his Naughty & Nice list. Those little spying eyes of the elf sitting on high keeping watch are supposed to encourage kids to be on their best behavior, lest Santa finds out and leaves you a lump of coal instead of that PS4 you've been asking for. These little elves though are also mischievous and - from what we've seen on Social media over the years - end up causing more trouble around the house than encouraging good behavior.
I will admit that I have enjoyed seeing posts from friends showcasing the antics their elves - each with unique names - have been up to. This year, we decided that we wanted to get in on all this fun and have decided to participate in Elf on the Shelf, even though our kids are getting older. We're adding our own little twist and I hope people will enjoy the fun we've taken with it. So, here's Day 1.....
Dec 1st - Caught our elf, Wayne, sneaking some Oreo’s in the kitchen this morning.
