12.4.11 - Who needs the NBA?

Kyron getting ready to make a move
Until very recently, I thought we would have to face the winter months without a NBA season.  Not that I had any worries about missing basketball though, especially in our family.

All three of our boys play basketball - and lots of it!  Before moving to Indiana, basketball was the only thing we knew about this place.  We figured the boys would eventually play, we just weren't ready for how MUCH they would play.  Nor did we understand that basketball is much more than a sport, it is almost a religion.  Little boys dream of playing on a hard wood floor, and parents tear up during their little one's first games, then just months later are screaming at referees for calls missed or made against their little superstar.

Caeden drives against the defense
Caeden and Caleb play basketball year round on travel teams through Indiana Primetime Sports, an organization that we are really happy to have found and be a part of.  Kyron, while spending the last several years being dragged to all these games as a spectator was finally able to join his own Primetime team this year!  He was very excited about being able to play real basketball, like his brothers but maybe more so to have his own Primetime jersey.

All the practices and games contribute to how busy our family is, but when it comes down to activities of choice there are few things Marcy and I would rather do than watch the kids compete, play, or perform in a sport of activity they enjoy doing.
