This concert has actually been a topic of conversation from the beginning of the school year. Caleb doesn't have many fond memories of music class/programs in grade school, but we all still remember how excited he was when he came home 5 years ago and announced that he was going to be head of the dragon! That was an exciting night for Caleb, so when Kyron started third grade Caleb told him the best part of the third grade is being the head of the dragon. That began to build Kyron's hope that he would be able to have the same experience.
We tried to prepare Kyron for the likelihood that he would not get chosen, I mean what are the odds that two of our boys would get such a special spot in this show? So last week, when Kyron came home from school and announced that he was the head of the dragon, we all thought he was joking. Turns out, he wasn't! Kyron and all the kids did a great job last night and I especially liked his performance as the head of the dragon.
