Last Friday my daughter was very critical of my choice of shirt for a holiday party I attended - going as far as to call it 'ugly' AFTER I came home from the party.
I shared that story with a lot of people at work this week and even shared the link to the blog post so they could see the shirt for themselves. The reactions were overwhelmingly in support of my daughter's opinion. Not wanting to concede this fashion battle, I made the bold decision to wear the shirt to work today!
Seeing the actual shirt in person did sway a couple people to admit they liked it, but in the end the large majority agreed that the shirt should not make an appearance again anytime soon. So, it is with reluctance that I concede the argument and am retiring my 'ugly' shirt. With the final words of this post, I also offer this painful admission:
Makela, you were right.
