So, in celebration of Caleb's 13th birthday, I thought I would share my top 13 favorite things about Caleb, in no particular order:
13) Nobody rocks the Forever Lazy like Caleb.
12) He's got Gangnum Style.
11) He's the best movie buddy I could ask for. From the time he was an infant and still today, we love watching movies together.

9) He is idolized by his younger brothers - most of the time.
8) He picks good friends. The people you surround yourself with say a lot about who you are and Caleb does a good job of surrounding himself with quality people.
7) He has a heart for service. Not necessarily around our house on a typical day, but really enjoys going out and doing good stuff for others. Maybe if we told him it was a stranger's pair of pants lying on his bedroom floor he would pick them up out of kindness to the stranger....
6) He's a great little cook! His creativity shows itself in the kitchen and he seems to enjoy trying to create something new.

4) He's smart. He does great in school and I'm not sure how much he really applies himself. This may come back to bite him in a couple years when he hits high school, but the kid is really sharp.
3) He loves to read. This was a trait I was never really able to develop as a kid, no matter how hard my mom tried to build it into me, but Caleb has it.
2) He has a love/hate relationship with surprises. you can imagine how we like to prank him back now...
1) I see so much of myself in him, but thankfully he's absorbed many of his mom's great qualities to make up where I am lacking.
Bottom line, if all the 13 year olds in the whole world were lined up, I would pick Caleb every time!
