Just as I enjoy the fun and challenge of creating a Christmas card each year, Marcy's Christmas challenge is always the mantle above our fireplace. I love that our friends are starting to look forward to what the mantle will look like each year almost as much as those of us living in the house do. It's a testament to how much people enjoy and appreciate Marcy's efforts.
There was so much about last year's version that I really loved and explained in my post a year ago, that it's nice to see some similar themes and elements used this year again. A few subtle new pieces are mixed in and I'm sure there was some Pinterest influence somewhere along the way.
The J-O-Y element is new this year and I love the prominence it will have in our main living area throughout this season. (More on this in a future post though....) More than anything, I love what the Christmas Mantle represents in our home: a celebration of this special season and a reminder of how much Marcy works to make our home feel special during Christmastime.
