12.31.12 - Our Completed Puzzle

The 2012 Kaopuiki/McDonald Puzzle Team
Like many families, we have a tradition of doing a family puzzle during the Christmas season.  Typically, this is something we look forward to doing while we're in Oregon and we use the puzzle time for a chance to just sit and visit while we work to accomplish the task together as a team.  We started this year's puzzle with some sadness that we would be doing it with just the six of us this year, but no sooner had we started than Lisa and Travis arrived and we again had some of our extended puzzle team to help us complete this year's 1000 piece challenge.

Over the past week, everyone in the family has found a seat around the table at one point or another working on the puzzle.  It's been a collective effort led by the Puzzle Princesses (Marcy, Makela, and Lisa) So it's only fitting that on the last day of the year, on the eve before Travis and Lisa return home, we finished our Christmas puzzle as an entire team.

Next year is certain to bring some new experiences for our family and I look forward to everything a new year has to offer me personally, professionally, and how God will use the next year to grow and stretch our family in new ways.

God Bless and Happy New Year!

Christmas Song of the Day

Winter Snow by Chris Tomlin featuring Audrey Assad

This is more Audrey Assad than Tomlin, but great song.  I need to find some more of her music to have playing around the house on relaxing days.
